Privacy Policy

Effective October 27, 2026

MC Chatbot provides tools to manage messages for connected Facebook Pages. This policy applies to Page managers using the service and to people who message those Pages. It explains what data we process, why we use it, and how you can request access, correction, or deletion.

1. Data we process

  • Pages and administrator accounts: Page IDs and names, connection permissions, Page access tokens, and accounts and activity of authorized staff.
  • Messenger conversations: Page-scoped sender IDs, messages, attachments, timestamps, delivery and read status, and response history.
  • Customer profiles: display names, gender, and locale when Meta makes them available through granted Page permissions; contact details or country entered by Page staff; and tags, notes, and customer care information created by staff.
  • Operational data: sign-in sessions, action logs, and technical information needed to secure, troubleshoot, and operate the service.

We receive Messenger data when a Page authorizes the app and a customer interacts with that Page. Gender and locale may be obtained from a Messenger profile if Meta permits access. Authorized Page staff may also enter or update profile details manually.

2. How we use data

We use this data to synchronize conversations, show a shared inbox, assign and answer customer requests, keep support history, send product-based quick replies, review service quality, protect accounts, and handle data requests. We do not sell conversation data to advertisers.

3. Translation and service providers

When a reply is translated, the text to be translated may be sent to the DeepL API. That text may contain a customer name or other personal details inserted into the reply. DeepL returns the translation so the response can be prepared for the customer. Text is not sent to DeepL through this feature when translation is not used.

Meta provides Facebook and Messenger services that allow us to receive and send messages. Application data is stored on our server infrastructure or with hosting providers that support our operations. Meta and DeepL process data under their own policies as well.

4. Access, security, and retention

Only authorized staff can access data according to their roles. Website connections use HTTPS, and provider access credentials are stored encrypted. No technical safeguard can guarantee absolute security; we review and respond to reports of unauthorized access.

We retain conversation data for as long as needed to provide the service and maintain customer care history. Disconnecting a Page does not automatically delete stored history. We review valid requests to delete or anonymize data, except where retention is needed for legal obligations or dispute resolution.

5. Cookies and sign-in sessions

The service uses essential session cookies to sign staff in and protect the management area. Public legal information pages do not require an account.

6. Your rights and data deletion requests

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of data related to you. To protect the person who contacted a Page, we may verify the request through the original Messenger conversation or other suitable information before acting. See the data deletion instructions for the steps.

Email privacy@mcchatbot.com or message the Facebook Page you contacted. Please include “Personal data request” in your message. See our data deletion instructions.

7. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date shown on this page. Contact us below if you have questions about how MC Chatbot processes data.
